I have heard a rumor that Python programming is on The MAC...... Is it???? if so where?

Yes it comes installed on every OS X. You can use Xcode to write with it. Here is a link. http://wiki.python.org/moin/MacPython/Leopard

[EDIT]
If you don't have Xcode installed use your OS X disc to install developer tools. It installs to the main directory not the user directory. As a side note python is a programming language and runs primarily on UNIX core systems as well as PCs.

YES! Python is on the Mac. You can download the popular IDLE Python IDE from their website.
