Can I buy a samsung gravity and put my old sim card into it?

I already have a plan, but I wanna get the Samsung Gravity because I'm tired of my RAZR.
Is there a way that I can just buy the Samsun Gravity without a plan and transfer my RAZR's Sim card into the gravity?
