Ghost Hunting Weekend?

I'm currently browsing different internet sites, but dont really know what Im looking for.

Im looking to spend a night away with my partner, and rather than the usual browsing the town/nice meal etc, I want to do something different.

My partner is the biggest sceptic of anything paranormal, so I intend to prove otherwise.

Any recommendations for somewhere to stay/orgnanised ''ghost hunts''. Nothing to the ilk of Derek Ackorah/most haunted-makes me cringe.
We can get to most places in the UK (from sheffield)

i dont know when the dates are but Alton Towers has in the past done a ghost hunting night, but its for charity and you have to raise at least 100 pounds each to do it...
