Iphone with Tmobile SIM Card?

if i buy an unlocked Iphone on Ebay, and use my Tmobile SIM card....will i be able to use the features on the Iphone? Like the Internet and Multimedia Messaging? Please help....im already bidding, almost ending. Thanks alot!
 
A friend of mine did the same thing with the iphone with T-Mobile. She was able to make/receive phone calls but couldnt use any of the other features like text messaging or the internet.
