    Question about big families?

I'm an only child LOL but I'm trying to write a story with another only child friend about a big family.

    Anyway, my question is:

Is it possible that if there's five siblings that ONE of them can be pinned to doing everyone else's work?
Like if the older brother and sister are in their twenties and both work and fudge that they're too lazy to do their own laundry that one of the others has to?
And the other two are too young to cook or do dishes and one of those two is a whiny brat who complains allot.

But let's say that THAT one child does everyone else's work. Like, does their laundry and everything.

In real life and in a big family, can there ever be a Cinderella-like kid?

And in the end, what's a good family compromise for this?

In my family (I have one older sister, one younger sister, and one younger brother) there was never anything like this. My parents NEVER allowed us to do each other's home work or pay each other for it, but we could help each other.

My mom always made sure we had fair enough "chores" and that nobody was doing more work. But this is MY family, ever family is different.

One of my friends actually has to do a lot around her house (cook, and clean) and if she does it wrong, she gets yelled at, or grounded. So, I think some families are like you described.

A compromise would be where everyone in the family did the same amount of work, and nobody felt cheated.
