that is correct. Each network has ti's own codes for devices connecting to their network. Just like a security code.

Can I buy an unlocked iphone and put it on Verizon?
I currently have the blackberry storm, which DOES have a SIM card.... I was wondering because I've read that you couldn't because Verizon isn't on the same network......

Yeah I'v heard of people having other companies using the iPhone... but there's a certain unlock code that I don't know of. People just tell me only the nerds know.
