my divx movies wont play in my xvid dvd player?

how do i get them to work? do i need to swap my codec to xvid before i try to copy my movies to disc? help please

they all work in my friends dvd player which is divx and xvid compatible.. i thought they were both the same?

I think that could possibly be a missing codec.

If you haven't already download the Divx codec and install that then try it. If it still doesn't work, google 'ace mega codecs pack' and download and install that.
