I'm not an expert at networking or anything, but I really don't see how port forwarding is going to speed up your Torrent downloads. I thought you did port mapping (aka port forwarding) when you couldn't connect to some service or the service couldn't connect to your computer. But if you are downloading your stuff, it means you are connecting to the P2P network or whatever, so its not a firewall/router issue.
