Is the XviD codec safe to download?

it's from this site and unless I download it, I won't be able to watch AVI files on Windows Media Player. Does it have viruses or anything? Thanks

You Can Check It By the Phishing Filter you can switch it on(In I.E. only)by going on the internet options
Phishing Filter checks the website on microsoft database wheter it's reported or not

it ought to be. make sure you trust the souce and have a virus protection software just to be safe though.
