Problem with my car stereo! (ez10)?

My amp only turns on when my stereo is on radio, if i turn it to cd or aux(mp3) then my amp just shuts off.

so when i listen to the radio my subs are working and everything is fine but if i press source (which changes it from radio to cd to aux) then it shuts off.
    stats...
i have a sony xplod aftermarket stereo in my truck.
it is hooked up to a 400 watt audiobahn amp.
which is hooked up to to 10' audiobahn sub-bass.

    Does anyone know why?

    any/all info appreciated!

I do have my power source hooked up to my fuse box and the amp does turn off when i shut the truck off, i got all of that hooked up right. And to the man who said i have them swithched, thats what i thought but if i switch them back the amp still wont turn on and only my back speakers will work but not my fronts.

    dont really understand why.

but thanks alot so far yall have been help.

    ...OR

Run a fused (1 amp, 14 AWG) wire from a fuse in the fuse panel that only has power when the car is ON to one side of a switch. From the other side of the switch run the same sized wire to the REM (remote) connection on the amp.

This allows for full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp. The switch is so you can turn off the amp at will so as not to give grandma a heart attack in the car.

You can find fuse taps and in-line fuse holders at any autoparts store.

It sounds like you have your amp hooked up to your radio's power source,if so you will need to run the amps hot wire to the battery.

you have the remote wire hooked up to your power antenna wire (blue wire) it needs to be hooked up to your remote turn on wire which is the blue/white wire. that's will solve your problem if the radio doesn't have the blue/white wire than just tap it into your ignition wire (red wire)
