I have a 1998 bmw 328i coupe what is a good aftermarket muffler for this kind of car?

try Dinan, Borla or Alpina. Those are all compaines that make parts for BMW. May be pricey but if all you want is sound just get a universal muffler from your local performance shop and have it welded on.

I have heard some V6's with Magnaflows on them that sound pretty good. Borla always makes good mufflers as well. So those are my 2 recomendations.
