Okay, people are saying tonight was the season final of Gossip Girl! I'm confused?

I've been hearing people say on here that it's the season final of Gossip Girl was the episode that was on tonight! I've never heard that before! I'm a huge fan and visit at least two sites of the show everyday and no one has said anything about it being the season final. I'm thinking there would have been more notice. Also, on www.imdb.com, it says that there's suppose to be twenty-two episodes. Help!

No,i know its not.
and also they would have such a work up to being a season finale.

but anyway,like i said i KNOW its not.
ever since 9 when the episode went off,i've been online cause they didnt say when a new episode was coming on.
