I have a micro hi-fi system cd-x10i stereo if that helps. It still works fine, but when I used to play my iPod mini on it, it always charged the iPod. Now when I play my newer iPod touch, I get the message "this device does not support charging." it still plays, but it won't charge. Why is that? Is there anyway I can fix it?

maybe your stereo is too old school for your new ipod touch. i advise getting a new one (stereo in mean)

most of the newer devices are funny with the charge/play function. some charge and DONT play. its all about compatibility. check your stereo of what works and what doesnt. my iphone wouldnt charge in my ihome under cabinet dock.

On The Ipod Box It Says Sumthin Like After So Many Times Dat Youcharge Eventually You Gotta Go To The Apple Store To Get A New Battery For It...

your ipod isn't compatible with the player it does it with mine as well. its something to do with the circuitry of the ipod and its different to older ipods. aswell as the battery is different
