How do I workout effectively?

Ok im thinking about losing some extra pounds and wanted to get into a workout regiment. I have a bench, barbell and some dumbbells at home, I don't really want to go to the gym seeing as Iive pretty far away from one. I play basketball for fun every tues and thurs so I was thinking about working out on mon, wed and fri. I have the diet part down because I don't eat very much and I always cook much my own food.


As you can see I have most of the things to workout, basically I need to learn some workouts, reps, ETC.
Things like what workouts to do on monday? and Wednesday? and friday?

Maybe some of you guys can give me your workout regiment with the reps and everything?

PS. Im only 17 so don't expect me to curl 100's
