My 1995 Nissan truck will go dead when I come to a stop.?

It will not do it every time, maybe twice a week, and it will crank right back up. It is a Automatic if that helps. 4cyl and has 155000 miles on it.

well check the spark plug and change the oil every 3,000 miles and if it gets worst just take it in to an mechanic. mechanics charge a lot trust me i know. but its more worth it then to have a engine rebuilt or have to get a new car

My friend had a nissan that would do the same thing and it turned out to be the little pickup like gizmo that sits in the distributor. It was a kind of spend part as I remember.

Could be the IAC(idle air control) or your idle is too low.Check the throttle body inlet to see if it is dirty.

Timing is off and needs adjustment Try new spark plugs as well, and or even try testing the electrical system...
