The rear driver's side seat belt was pulled all the way out, and now it won't retract. Can I fix this myself?

Thanks!

^Spamming above me.^ I don't care, but i got in trouble when i did it two years ago
You got to keep jerking on the belt until it springs back. I had the same problem and i had to remove the plastic part and jerk the cloth part of the seat belt till it rolled back in. I think Mercedes will warranty that part of the Car.
And what the ------ does a Jeep Cherokee got to do with a Mercedes?

I recently fixed a similar issue on a Jeep Cherokee. The lady's son had dropped a crayon in the slot where the belt comes out and it was jamming the retractor.

As soon as I removed the cover, I saw the problem. Removing the cover took a bit of work but fixing the belt was easy.

You can take off the plastic cover and spray with some lubricant,
if not take to the dealer and they will fix it because seat belts is
one of the things they will cover for the life of the car fearing liability
law suits.
