i got a official sony ps3 headset today and i sinced it turned up the volume turned it on and it puts out audio but the other people are coming out the tv how do i switch it so it comes out the headset thanks.
I have the same headset. You need to follow the instructions that came with the mic. You sinc the headset with the PS3 through Accessories settings and then register it.

Go to the XMB Menu. Then go to Accessories, then Audio Device Settings, and then change the System Output Device to your headset. (It should have a blue dot right next to the name if it is already connected.)
