I have the second generation ipod touch and the internet is not working. When I go to the settings and select wi-fi it, then I select the wireless network and type in the password, it says i am connected to the internet. but then i go on the internet or the itunes store and it says that i cant connect.

It could just be the router try another one and if that does not work then call Apple 1-800-myapple is their number. If they can't help try restoring it.
Good Luck

You have to pay a monthly fee to the ipods 3G network to access the internet.

If you can, try restarting your router by powering it down and then powering it back up.

Also, make sure your router itself is actually connected to a working internet connection. It might allow wireless devices to connect, but then not give them internet from there.

I have this a lot too with my 32g 2nd generation iPod touch. What I do is turn off the wi-fi turn it back on and then try to connect.
Hope this helps!

it could be the connection. if not try going to the actual apple store and let them look at it they will probably know whats up.

well do you have wifi? or just try another Wireless connection. if that dosent work, depending on how long youve had it, go to the apple store and they may fix it or give another one to you
