My Itunes won't recognize my ipod!! Help!!?

My nano 3g ipod, when i plug it in to the computer, my computer does not recognize it. Instead of the ussual noise it makes when i plug it in, it makes a quick, repeated 4 or 5 beeps. It charges my ipod, but it will not update it. The small ipod does not appear on the left side of itunes when i plug it in. I have tried restarting my ipod and computer. It didn't work. I tried using different ipod cords to connect it to my computer. Didn't work. I tried plugging it into diffent USB spots on my computer didn't work. Help! Please!

Try holding down the center button and the menu button together until the screen goes black with an apple logo in the middle then plug it in to you PC.

I know i'm not exactly ANSWERING yur question ..

but a lot of ppl are having trouble with itunes today ..

hopefully, they'll sort it out.

you have to reset your ipod to make your itunes recognize it again

Yeah my Ipod classic sometimes has that problem... Twice today infact. Restart your ipod (hold menu &middle button for 5-10 seconds), turn it back on, then connect it.
