How to adjust the air and gas screws on one of these motors

Do not attempt!!! Go to a Mercury boat store and buy a can of "Power Tune". It has a unique foaming action. Use it with the nozzle attached, and spray it into any external ports and orifices you can find. THe penetrating action will usually clean out any fuel or air passageways in the carb. Follow this up with a can of Gum-out spray. The only other way is to carefully remove the top of the carb, and thoroughly clean from the inside out. For me, this is an easy task, but I do not recommend it if you have no prior experience. There are a lot of tiny parts that are very easy to lose. Try method ONE first! Good Luck!!

standard way would be screw in but not tight back off 1 and 1/4 turns and try to crank heres a video of someone adjusting a carb it will be about same way with any carb to adjust then wil have to fine tune it more after cranking
