I'm attempting to disconnect and then replace the ignition on my 1995 gmc jimmy. all the diagrams i looked at show that i have to disconnect the airbags to get to the locking mechanism to get the ignition out is this true or im i doing something wrong? the other thing the diagram shows to take the plastic housing around the steering column i got the bottom off but the top parts have no visible screws how should i take that part of the housing off?
