I'm a 15 year old girl and I've played soccer since I was about 4 years old.
When comparing myself to my teammates during drills and things in soccer practice, I always seems to be keeping up and playing up to expectations, however my weak point is definitely my running stamina (my sprinting, however, is pretty good). It's not that I'm tired and my body physically can't work anymore but I have a very hard time catching my breath and I always seem to become winded very quickly. I try to control my breathing and be sure to inhale through my nose which I wouldn't normally do, but it definitely needs more work then just concentrating on inhaling.
Now. I'm not the type to be insecure about my body and everything but while I'm at home, I just can't seem to control my snacking habits. I'll have the urge to eat when I'm not even hungry, and although I know that's not the key to solving my running problem it can only be slowing me down.
So my question REALLY is:
What are some things I can think of to stop myself from unnecessary snacking? How do you convince yourself to resist temptation?
(Please don't just say eat healthy snacks instead, I'm talking about cutting it out altogether.)
Thanks
