I added 10 feeder fish to my tank today and they all died except for one. I even had a feeder in there from a week ago that died with the 9 others. What could be in the water that could have done this to them in such a quick amount of time. **turtle tank**

first of all they may have gone into shock because of the water difference or the water may have been toxic from the turtle but what probably happened is when you add a bunch of fish at the same time ammonia is released into the water from the fish and they actualy poison themselves especialy if there is only a bit of water in there. Fish need a certain ph level to survive. If you read info on how to start a fish tank it will explain all of this. Plus feeder fish are not meant to be hardy.

If u eman turtle tank as in a tankf or a turtle, that tank is no-where near suitable for bottom-feeders, get a normal tank (5 gallon), a filter (low current and quire) and 4 bottom feeders (if u want more try livebearing oens), this will only cost u possibly 30-40 dolalrs but WILL insure ur fisha re living in top conditions, and theese fish will survvie a long time, if u want live bearers, then get a 10 or 7 gallon.. sorry but a turtle tank and fish tank are constructted differently..

Did you run the tank before adding the fish?? did you add some water conditioner? maybe the quality of the water was not the best for them. Check the water maybe the levels of amonia are too high, do a water test as soon as possible and don't add more fish until you find out what's wrong. Or get a tank with filter and don't think a turtle tank is a good idea.
