Comparing Mercedes against BMW's? Which one is better overall?

I have a old school BMW. But I have always thought of Mercedes to be the more elegant of the 2 cars. They look elegant but they also look fragile compared to the rugged shaped beamers, I know for a fact they are not as strong as a BMW as I have rolled some.
I don't know what you mean when you say BMW's reliability is not great, because most people know you can get 200k out of them easy.

Roger I think front-wheel drive cars are in a different league compared to rear-wheel drives.

Merc is for old men with one foot in the grave. BMW owned by people full of Energy and get up and go.

Mercedes has the worst reliability history of the two. BMW's is not great, but Mercedes is worse.

I would say that bmw are more reliable than Mercedes but there is just something about Mercs that i like i thing its the elegance that you pointed out before.
