Will the old dvd or vhs players work with this new HD coming in February?

??? There's is no switch to HD, it's just no more analog. Unless you have an antenna on top of your T.V. you have nothing to worry about. (Not including sattalite) as long as your have cable or satallite you will be fine. All DVDs and VHSs will still work. VHSs don't have HD no movies are made like that anymore. There's no need to buy a Blu-Ray DVD player. Everything should stay the same.

If you have cable, satellite then there should be no change for you.
Your playback of your VHS and DVD will not be affected by the change.
Recording onto DVD or VHS might be affected, like your TV, it they use antenna and don't have a digital tuner built in.
