    Will the old dvd or vhs players work with this new HD coming in February?

    I have lots of vhs and dvds that are old, do I need a new vhs or dvd player to watch them on the HD that the tv are changing to?

    ??? There's is no switch to HD, it's just no more analog. Unless you have an antenna on top of your T.V. you have nothing to worry about. (Not including sattalite) as long as your have cable or satallite you will be fine. All DVDs and VHSs will still work. VHSs don't have HD no movies are made like that anymore. There's no need to buy a Blu-Ray DVD player. Everything should stay the same. except for those of you with Analog.

    no because vhs isn't made any more and to watch hd dvds you'll have 2 buy a blu ray dvd player...!!

    are you talking about HD cable? i mean, you should still be able to watch those as long as the players are still hooked up to your TV no matter what happens with the cable

    The change that is happening is the OVER THE AIR reception of signals. If your TV has an old fashion antenna (metal wires) then you might have a problem if you don't upgrade.

    If you have cable, satellite then there should be no change for you.

    Your playback of your VHS and DVD will not be affected by the change.

    Recording onto DVD or VHS might be affected, like your TV, it they use antenna and don't have a digital tuner built in.
