Why does this girl gossip about me?

This girl talks about me behind me back. She says every possible thing about me, even though she doesn't even really know me at all.
She's really not a nice person at all - she's mean (obviously), she does drugs, she drinks, she's slutty... I just don't understand how she has bad things to say about me, when I am nothing like that.

What can I do? How should I get over it?

People gossip because their life isnt as great as the person who they are gossiped about.
Seriously, if she came to me and gossiped about you, i would be like, yeaaah, i would believe someone who takes drugs, NO OFFENCE ANYONE!

just realize that it really isn't about you. she feels the need to gossip because there is something wrong with her, not with you. ignore and move on.
