I have a 2001 Chevy tracker. I live in Alaska, and every one is sold out or does not carry a battery for this car. Are there any alternative batteries to use? What's the worst that can happen if I use a battery not made for the vehicle?
EXACTLY 12 volts is 12 volts. cca(cold cranking amps) is what matters. Find what your vehicle needs, probably like 600. Also some batteries the negative and positive are reversed, if you get one like that your connectors may not be long enough to reach the terminals on the battery
