laptop internet quesiton?

i do not have a desktop, how can i get internet on laptop
CAN YOU CONNECT CABLE MODEM DIRECLTY TO LAPTOP VIA ETHERNET CABLE, IF YOU DON'T WANT WIRELESS

IF YOU DO WANT WIRELESS CAN YOU CONNECT THE MODEM TO ROUTER WITH ETHERNET CORD AND THAT'S IT

CAN YOU CONNECT MODEM DIRECTLY TO LAPTOP WITH ETHERN CABLE

Yes to all three.

A laptop is just the same as a desktop for this purpose. - So long as it has a network socket it will work with the ethernet cable.

So long as it has Wireless card built it (ar added) then it can use wireless.

And yes - just connect the modem to the router with an ethernet cable.

Should all set up easily enough - no different to a desktop
