Can I get any phone and switch it to a telus pay and talk?

my phone was just syolen and i need to gat a cheap phone but telus dosnt have many nice cheap phones. am i able to buy anther phone ex. a rogers phone and switch it to telus

I hope you called Telus and reported it stolen. Only Telus phones will work on their network so you can't use one from any other carrier. You could buy a new p&t phone or look on ebay or kijiji and just transfer the 'new' phones esn to your account. If you do the transfer through mytelusmobility.com it will cost $10 and if you call in to have it done you will pay $25. Remember, you can ONLY activate a phone that originally came from Telus.
