    how do i open a port up so i can use bittorrent? ?

    i am using a actiontech m1000 modem from qwest (my isp) and have a gateway wgr6.4 v7 wireless router. i cant seem to do portforwardwarding.

    The actiontech modem appears to also have firewall capability, so you will have to forward through that also. There is a guide at portforward (I do not know which program you are using, so I'll post the program listing for that modem)

    Also, since you have the router and modem being forwarded, check the Port forwarding through two routers guide
