My computer came with mcafee and rarely got infected and then it expired and we never renewed the subscription then in the next couple months we got around 800 malware files (i got rid of them) what do you use to keep your computer safe on the internet?

Use avg free. Download at download.com. This will protect your pc it's free and reliable.

I use a combination of AVG antivirus and spybot. Has been working very well for me for many years.
