razr cell phone help!!!!!?

I have a verizon wireless razr v3. i want to purchas a ringtone online. i already signed in but how can i be sure that the ringtone will be sent to my phone? it says some phones blocked certain types of messages so you will not recieve the ringtone but it will still be on the bill. How can i be sure that it will send
P.S. when i recieve a sound from a text, it doesnt let me set sound as ringtone so dont say go to sounds then set as ringtone.
