What device can I buy to convert VHS to DVD?

- without using my PC

I have over 200 VHS home videos that I want to convert to DVD.. Can you recommend a brand and model, or provide links on where I can buy a device that allows me to play the VHS and record it to DVD?

Can I just buy a DVD burner and plug it in to my existing VHS players?
 
If you have existing working VHS players, you can use a DVD recorder to copy the VHS tapes to. Commercial tapes likely will not copy due to copy protection.
