I've no info on taxis' but I have driven O.T.R. for U.S.Xpress. My experience was like many - and without any question - dissapointing. The pay was a joke as was the overpriced health insurance which the driver was given no choices for options . Basically , it's like this for O.T.R. - The pay USED to be great and worth your effort back before the unions were pushed out of trucking . Up until the mid 80's or so it was worth it - a good living for a good driver - but not now . With the unions pushed out the pay is a joke and not worth your time - which will be ALL of your time living in the truck and only getting paid while you're driving it . Only do it if you have no other option but being homeless - I'm very serious about that.
