Why does the computer monitor's image shake sometimes when the television is...

...turned on? Sometimes when I am at the computer and someone in my family turns on the TV, the images on the screen become blurred and shake for up to a second or two. The two machines are approximately 6 feet apart. What is causing this? Is there some overlap between the two systems' electrical signals, and what would that be?

TV generates magnetic fields and pulse which matches the pulse of the monitor so the monitor flickers
