internet explorer blank page keeps replicating itself?

hi, im using windows xp and each time i open internet explorer, few seconds later a new tab opens up by itself, a blank page and it keeps replicating itself till my computer freezes. Can anyone please help me with this problem ?

Uninstall IE re boot and re install it again. That should fix it. WMP dose the same thing from time to time and it's the same fix.

PS. Do as I said above IE is needed for Microsoft Downloads and Updates, but you should start using Mozilla Firefox it's faster and way more reliable.
