It is possible to download movies that have yet to be released to theaters - however, this is an entirely illegal process, and should you be looking to do this, you should be asking him these questions rather than the Answers community.

As far as Blu-Ray goes, the only way to burn a Blu-Ray disc is if your computer has a Blu-Ray writable drive, and if you have a Blu-Ray capable disc player plugged into your television. Also, if you plan on swapping discs with your uncle, he would have to also have a Blu-Ray player to play those discs.
