In most cases, you will notice nothing. The design of the engine already took that into consideration. When adding a cold air intake, most people I've seen have installed it incorrectly, making it a Hot air intake. No radiator or engine heat is allowed into the intake stream or there could be damage to your engine from detonation. The car manufactures have already took care of that problem so don't undo what they have spent years to avoid.

on the k and n cold air intake for a v6 4.3 liter chevy silverado can you tell a difference in horsepower acceleration sound or gas mileage

like i told you in the other answer, im not sure about gas mileage but i could tell the difference in the acceleration and sound with no problem, the sound stayed about the same until i floor it or almost floor it, it supposedly gives about 10-15 more hp on my engine, i don't know about a V6 though
