    Can you cancel internet service on a blackberry?

    i got a blackberry about a month ago and i dont whant to pay more for internet. Can i cancel the internet?

    yes I have AT&T and I would accidentally get on the internet and it would cost me like 10 bucks and i never looked at anything. So I called up the phone company and asked if they could shut the internet off altogether so I wouldn't have to pay if I accidentally hit the wrong button.

    yes, call the service provider and let them know to block it. Now, that being said- with Blackberrys, Palms, iPhones, etc.. (smartphones)
    Your text messaging travels via 3g so if you block it you'll block your messaging.
    I had a problem with my old Treo that it stayed connected to the internet and rang up a nice charge to the tune of almost 700.
    AT&T dropped the charges, but when they froze the internet I lost my texting.
