Extra Texting Prices On The iPhone 3G?

ok, so i'm with at&t and my contract is almost up... I really want an iPhone. I'm on a family plan with two other people, and the plan has 700 (rollover) minutes between the three of us and unlimited texting. Is it true that I would have to pay a seperate bill so i could text on the iPhone??????? Would I have to pay that bill AND the bell for the family plan that i'm on now? Also, would i also have to seperately pay for voice calls?!?!?!?!?!? PPLLEEAASSEE help!!!

No, you can keep the iphone on the same family plan, complete with your unlimited texting plan. Only thing is that there will be an extra charge on the bill for the data. The internet the phone uses. It's unlimited for $30.
So whatever your bill is now, add $30 to it, and that's what you'll pay monthly.
One bill, all the phones.

Unless your current plan and phones are over 10 years old, then it makes it more difficult.

there is a separate data plan that is bundled with text messages. You can choose the same voice plan, but you'll have to get a data plan.
