Very wise is what I'd call them. It is always the best thing to do, ie study as much as possible about a particular subject even if you disagree with an aspect of it. It does not matter if you don't agree, what is important is you have a better understanding of other peoples thought processes on the subject and the more objective and tolerant you will become. Mainly because you realise they are all describing the same thing but from slightly different perspectives.
