info about internet connections, and modem/routers?

My "verizon" internet is still active, however i just got "clear" internet which is supposedly fast and cheap.

If i have 2 internets at the same time... how would i navigate between the two?

Do modems have software that distinguishes what internet it is used for?

    More information is accepted, thanks!

I have a Mac and my computer is on wireless. It will recognize and list any available wireless service within range and I can select the service to use from a drop-down menu. I'm sure the same goes for pcs

No, go to your panel of control and navigate from there, selecting the "type of internet" you'd like by clicking on the tool bar, then internet, then "navigate". This should take you to the verizon internet connection station. Take it from there, suiting your own needs!

at the moment you are asking a question that goes around the world how do we know what a verizon is ,
you need to contact your isp or the manufacturers of your router/modem.

Modems contain a MAC Address (physical hardware address), that an ISP has to allow on its network.

So, for the most part, which modem you use will determine which ISP you will connect to.

Why do you want to do this anyway?
