is there a way to transfer and play games from other consoles on a PC?

I am angry as hell... I don't like to throw money away on several consoles just to play games. Therefor I like my computer better... However, I find some of the games on these consoles very interesting.
I know there are some things called "emulators", but other than that...

for example: the Mortal Kombat series, after game no. 4, is on everything else, but PC...
