    what can i keep in a gold fish tank?

    i have a tank with 2 small gold fish in, at the store there was a cold water fishy thing that suck to the side of the tank and also a small thing that went along the bottom at a could mix with my gold fish


    any body know what these are called?
    and any other ideas on what to keep in the tank would be good?

    any one got any opions on water snails? are they good to keep?

    well, most people call the one you saw stuck to the tank, sucker fish, and the other one on the bottom was probably a catfish, you might be able to stick the sucker fish in there but the catfish need higher temperature water, snails are great to keep with goldfish since goldfish are high waste producers, the snails can help alot with cleaning, so can the sucker fish. You can keep a school of white cloud minnows in there, they are coldwater fish. Also if you have a big enough tank, you can add some more goldfish, like black moors, they are a great fish.     water snails are nice and clean the glass too.

    How many gallons is your tank? That would help on determining whether you should add any more fish to it or not.

    I recommend you don't keep water snails in the same tank as the goldfish. =)

    try some fake water plants for your fish to hide in

    I had cold water prawns, pet shop said they're ideal. Tip: don't get them, they're murderers.

    how big is the tank?
    if its fresh water then you should go to the store and ask them to see freshwater fish... if the tank is 10 galllons then you shouldnt put more than 3 fish in there because it can cause stress to the fish and they can die.
