the sims wont pop up?

i have the sims deluxe edition and for some reason it wont pop up on my computer, even when i find it in my computer and click on it.
help?

its the first sims, and yes its used...i got it from amazon.

OMG!! I just bought that game 2 days ago, great game by the way! Hmmm... you should clean you're computer up, you know, folders that aren't neccesary anymore, maybe you dont have enought space in you're computer for the game, cause that game took like half my computer's memory!

Is this the first Sims or second?

If you bought it used or download, the copy could be corrupted, or you could have a virus/virus protection software blocking your ability to run the program.

If you still can't find an answer here, and you have a legit copy. Register at the site; and ask costumer service.

is the disk in? have u tried rebooting the computer? ...make sure no other applications are running while you are trying to run the sims and maybe try deleting some prgms u don't use a lot. I know the sims uses a lot of memory, so ur pc might be overwhelmed lol
