Is dating before your mid-30s worth it?

My plan is to look for a nice lady and hopefully get married by the time I am 40-50 years old. I think that is the best time to get married as by that time I should have a great job, house and the security that is needed to raise a family. I am still in school working on a second graduate degree. I am not in a place yet to being dating as I am just too busy and I don't have much money as I am going to school full time, so I obviously can't work.

I have never had a girlfriend or even experienced basic "milestones" such as a real date or a first kiss. However, I have a lot of positive attributes that I think ladies would like. I have a great education, I'm in decent shape, I'm very involved with my community and I have very strong family values (so strong that I choose to live at home with my parents and other adult siblings).

So, is 30 too old to begin looking for a relationship and do I have enough (or too much) to offer at this point?
