why do people decide to be gay?

the bible clearly says being gay is wrong. in addition, being gay means you cant get married or have children and most of society will shun you. why would some one choose that? is it just because they hate their parents?

I chose to be gay because I couldn't get a woman. I also chose it because I enjoy prejudice, it's like a turn-on for me. Lastly, I chose it because I wanted to spite religious people.

Apparently people are born that way (attracted to the same sex).
I think that some of them are just too lazy or self conscious to pursue the opposite sex, so they became gay with their friends.

Also not everybody believes in the bible or wants to get married.

They don't choose it. There born that way, they don't hate there parents. Some of there parents hate them. That's like saying oh well why won't you spend the rest of your life with someone who you don't have feelings for or find attractive?
