Please, enlighten me. I fellowship with other Christians, talk to my friends about my beliefs, ONLY WHEN APPROPRIATE, not door to door ritually (some need to take note). I don't worship Kraft the cheese god statue and praise idols etc. I don't ask for money all the time. I don't believe everyone has to be predestined to go to heaven. I'm in a non-denominational church.
I try to be like Jesus. I try my best to obey his law. I repent of my sins. I think everyone should know my boy Jesus. How's that religion? It's not, so why does Christianity get labeled as a religion when that's not what it is? It's simply a belief based on faith.
True religion is neither rules-based nor ritual-based.
