My 2 stroke bike wont start in the cold.?

The problem started at the same time as a sudden drop in temprature 3 weeks ago, arround the same time that i put minaral oil in the bike instead of normal 2 stroke oil, Which I am still useing.

The bike is a piaggio diesis 100.

It will start if i dry off the spark plug with a blow torch.

I recently boght a new spark plug (br9) and it wouldnt start easily without a lot of choke.

The bike chugs and will sometimes get stuck around 30mph for a few miles then suddenly start to accelerate to its normal top speed.

IAlthough the bike should take br9 plugs, should i try a hotter plug, ir an iridium one. It there something else wrong like the amount of fuel being let in? If so how can i sort it?

    Thanks

    andy

Mineral oil in a two stroke??? Get it out. You need to mix 2 STROKE OIL in with the gas.
